May - Bike the Bend
Approximately 30 miles of streets and trails take you though some of South Bend's parks and landmarks including Farmer's Market, St. Pat's Park, and the campuses of Notre Dame, St. Mary's and IUSB. A post-ride festival at Kamm Island features live music, bike information and booths, food & more!
May – Michiana Bike to Work Week Look for the new signage along the bike lanes going up in 2012 all over South Bend. A collaborative effort between the City, Bike the Bend and Michiana Bike Coalition, along with other private groups, this signage will help guide you to popular locations around town using designated bike routes.
June – Pumpkinvine Bike Ride
Take a ride though Amish country! A ride without much vehicle traffic lined with country scenery and traditional Amish lifestyles.
July – South Bend Lion’s Club Ride for Sight
Ride begins at St Pat's Park and follows routes along tree-lined, rolling country areas, and near lakes and rivers in northern Indiana and southern Michigan. 10, 20, 40, and 70 mile routes.
September – Bike Michiana for Hospice A very popular fall ride for a deserving charity. Distances for all levels are available.
September – Apple Cider Century
A one-day ride through scenic Southwest Michigan. 15, 25, 37, 50, 62, 75 or 100 mile bicycle tour of the orchards, forests and wine country in and around Three Oaks, Michigan.
